Emo's is Open!

The opening of Emo’s Dairy Mart is a sure sign of springtime in Peoria.

Located at Prospect and War Memorial Drive, the little place with the clown on top opened a bit early this year due to our mild weather.

Emo’s has been a Peoria tradition for decades. It is probably best known for its chilidogs. People love to go there, grab some dogs and fries, and sit outside at a table as there is no inside seating.

Members of the Harms family ran it until a few years ago when new owners took over. But from what I can tell, everything remains the same.

I’ll take three with chili and mustard.
